Thor Motor Coach Recalls Motorhomes for Battery Problem

Thor Motor Coach is recalling certain 2017 Tuscany, Tuscany ZTE, and Venetian motorhomes. The isolator relay cable for the chassis battery was improperly installed and could cause a sudden, unexpected loss of power to the vehicle.

Kovatch Mobile Equipment Corp. is recalling Predator Severe Service fire trucks because they are equipped with Pelican 9410L flashlights that have lithium ion battery packs which may overheat, posing a fire hazard.

Ecovent is recalling 600 room sensors because they pose an electrical shock hazard. The cover can come off during normal use, exposing high voltage components.

Tommee Tippee Bottle and Food Warmers Recalled for Fire Hazard

Mayborn is recalling 255,000 Tommee Tippee electric bottle and food warmers. The warmers can overheat and catch on fire, posing a fire hazard to consumers. The company has received six reports of the warmers overheating, melting, smoking and catching on fire; which resulted in $16,000 in property damage.

Utilimaster Aeromaster Vehicles Recalled for Wiring Repair

Spartan Motors USA is recalling 67 model year 2012-2015 Utilimaster Aeromaster vehicles because of a problem with the electrical system. The push-to-trip circuit breaker for the lift gate system may have been installed on the wrong side of the vehicles and not wired into the electrical portion of that system

STIHL Hedge Trimmers Recalled for Laceration Hazard

STIHL Inc. is recalling 8,000 battery-powered hedge trimmers for a laceration hazard. The hedge trimmer can operate faster than expected, continue running after the trigger is released or operate by depressing either the trigger or the front handle switch individually.

Safety Switch on Angle Grinders Can Fail

Direct Distributors is recalling its 4-inch air angle grinders. The spring-loaded safety switch can fail and allow the grinder to turn on even with the safety switch locked in place, posing a finger, hand or other laceration risk. The firm has received one report of the safety spring failing and resulting in a cut finger.

Sony Recalls Panasonic Battery Packs

Sony Electronics is recalling 1,700 Panasonic battery packs that were used in Sony’s VAIO Series laptop computers. The lithium-ion battery packs can overheat, posing burn and fire hazards.
