TDK Develops EPCOS Power Capacitors for Power Inverters

TDK-EPC, a group company of the TDK Corporation, has developed EPCOS power capacitors with high rated voltage, high peak current capability and customized configurations, making them ideal for industry and renewable energy generation applications, such as DC link for power inverters.

The new MKP DC B2562* series has rated voltages from 880 VR DC up to 1980 VR DC and covers a capacitance range from 30 to 1500 µF.  High dielectric strength is enabled by special metalized film profile. The six different terminal types offered given to the series a diversification in connections. Another advantage of its design is the low equivalent serial resistance (ESR) and inductance (ESL) which combined with approved material and components acc. to UL result in stability of electrical parameters over time and temperature.

These capacitors are designed for temperatures from -55 to +70o C.  The cans have diameters of 75, 85 and 116 mm and heights between 70 and 223 mm.
