Philip Keebler is a Senior Research Engineer in the Power Delivery & Utilization Sector at EPRI with one focal area on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Philip received his M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. Philip is active in many professional organizations, including but not limited to IEEE, Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), and the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), and is Chair of the TC-4: EMI Control within the IEEE EMC Society. Mr. Keebler is also currently working on new EMC standards for the nuclear power plant industry.
W. Michael King is a systems design advisor who has been active in the development of over 1,000 system-product designs in a 50 year career. He serves an international client base as an independent design advisor. Many terms used for PC Board Layout, such as the “3-W Rule”, the “V-plane Undercut Rule”, and “ground stitching nulls”, were all originated by himself. Dipl. Ing. Gunter Langer focuses on research, development, and production in the field of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) since 1980. He founded the Gunter Langer engineering office in 1992 and Langer EMV-Technik Ltd. in 1998. His interference emission and interference immunity EMC measurement technology as well as the IC test system are used mainly in the development stage and are in worldwide demand.
Thomas Lanzisero is a Sr. Research Engineer and Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at UL LLC (Underwriters Laboratories, Melville, NY) with nearly 30 years of applied practice in safety engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) and principal instructor and practitioner of Hazard Based Safety Engineering (HBSE). He has led development of Applied Safety Science and Engineering Techniques (ASSET™), including the ASSET Safety Management Process for informed decisions to achieve, maintain and continuously improve safety as a design objective. This work has recently been recognized with a 2011 IEEE Region 1 Award for Technological Innovation. This and related hazard analysis and risk assessment work has been extensively published and presented, including keynote presentation on the safety of consumer electronics into the future at the 2012 International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE) by the IEEE CES, 2012 Advanced Product Safety Management course at St. Louis University, 2010 and 2011 International Symposium on Product Compliance Engineering by the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society, 2011 IEEE Chicago Argonne National Laboratories Technical Conference, International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO 2011), Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation - Joint Regulatory Advisory Council (APEC JRAC Risk Assessment Workshop), American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and NASA (2009 NASA Aerospace Battery Workshop). An IEEE Senior Member, Tom is Founding Chair of the Long Island, NY Chapter of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society (PSES) and Vice Chair of the IEEE Risk Assessment Technical Committee (RATC). He serves as technical expert in committees for electric shock protection and risk management, including US National Committee Technical Advisory Groups (USNC TAGs), the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC TC64 MT4) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO 31000 / ANSI Z690).

John Maas is Corporate Program Manager for EMC for IBM Corporation and has responsibility for IBM’s worldwide EMC regulatory compliance program. He has over 25 Years of EMC experience including hardware design and test. He has been involved in international standardization for much of his career and currently is active in IEC SC77B/WG10 and the US advisory groups for IEC TC77, SC77A and SC77B and CISPR/I.
Andy Martwick has been an Electrical Engineer at Intel for the past 17 years. For the last 5 years he has been an adjunct professor at Portland State University and Oregon Tech where he teaches math, electricity and magnetism.
