Thieves Return Stolen Smartphone Because It Wasn’t Smart Enough

In another incident befitting the “Florida Man” meme, two Florida men were arrested in April after they returned a woman’s smartphone that they had previously stolen from her because it apparently wasn’t “smart” enough.

According to a report posted to the website of the Miami television affiliate 7 News, the men held the woman at gunpoint in an alley near a gas station in the northwest section of the City of Miami and demanded that she turn over her smartphone device to them.

However, the thieves returned a few minutes later to give the phone back to the woman. They reportedly told their victim that they wanted an iPhone instead of the Android phone that they had stolen from her.
