Hayneedle Artificial Christmas Trees Recalled due to Fire Hazard

recalled treesHayneedle is recalling artificial Christmas trees that were manufactured by East-West Basics because they the motor that turns the color disc can overheat, posing a fire hazard. The recall includes seven-foot tall artificial trees that are lit by optical fibers in the branches. The base is comprised of a 60-watt light and a motor that rotates a multi-colored disc to make the fibers in the trees change colors. The recalled trees were sold exclusively at Hayneedle.com from August 2014 to December 2014 for $100 each. Consumers should immediately unplug the trees and contact Hayneedle for a full refund.
