FCC Issues a New Round of Notices for Pirate Radio Operators in NYC, Miami

Clearly, there’s no rest for the weary…

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has issued a new round of fines to pirate radio operators in the New York and Miami metro areas.

In New York, Notices of Apparent Liability for Forfeiture have been issued against Masner Beauplan of Middleton, NY, Raul Alcantara from the Bronx, and Wilner Baptiste of Spring Valley, NY for operating unauthorized radio stations. The largest proposed fine was issued to Beauplan, in the amount of $920,000 for operating an illegal radio station in New Jersey for more than a month and a half. Alcantra and Baptiste each face fines of $40,000 for their illegal broadcasting activities.

In Florida, Forfeiture Orders were issued to Brindley Marshall of Miami, Abdias Datis, also of Miami, and Cameron Brown of North Miami. Marshall and Brown are each liable for penalties of $358,665, while Dais is liable for a penalty of $120,000.
