High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) and Lightning Workshop

This course will provide students with an awareness of all aspects of systems and aircraft High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) testing. Topics will include the following:

• FAA/European requirements to demonstrate compliance
• Equipment qualification
• Aircraft certification and testing
• Problems and Pitfalls
• Design Issues
• An overview of the design process and requirements in regards to lightning.
