Würth Elektronik Funds New eSports Program at Local College

Würth Elektronik announces support for Lake Area Technical College.

The new eSports and Drone Racing Clubs at Lake Area Technical College includes the latest in gaming systems and drones for racing. Würth Elektronik, the new financial partner for the program, has helped provide new technical equipment, computers, and sound systems for the program.

Students who compete must be full-time Lake Area Tech students and need to meet eligibility requirements. Esports (also known as electronic sports, e-sports or eSports) is a form of competition using video games. Esports often take the form of organized, multiplayer video game competitions, particularly between professional players, individually, or as teams.
