Worx Electric Leaf Blowers Recalled due to Shock Hazard

recalled leaf blowerPositec Tool is recalling their Worx electric blower/vacs because the grounded and ungrounded wiring could be reversed, posing a shock hazard. There have been no reported incidents or injures. The recall includes 24,670 leaf blowers in the U.S. and Canada. They were manufactured in China and sold at Menards and Walmart stores  from January 2015 through May 2015 for about $40.

The blower/vacs are black and have the “Worx” logo printed on the side of the motor housing. Consumers should check the model and serial number on the opposite side of the motor housing. Model number WG507 and the following serial number ranges are recalled: 201418000134 through 201418018263, 201418018268 through 201418021382, and 201511000379 through 201511001397. Owners of the recalled leaf blowers should immediately stop using the blower/vacs and return them to the store where they were purchased for a replacement or full refund.
