World’s First 3D Printed Car Unveiled

World’s First 3D Printed Car | In Compliance Magazine

A two passenger roadster car is the world’s first 3D printed car. Built out of carbon fiber-reinforced thermoplastic, the entire body and the four fenders of the “Strati” can be printed in 44 hours. The car is then completed with an electric engine, suspension components, seats, and lighting.

The manufacturer reports the car can accelerate to a top speed of 50 mph and drive approximately 62 miles on a full battery charge.  The car is 100 percent recyclable and can be melted down and reformed into a completely new car.
