The fair, organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, and Guangzhou BoYou Exhibition Service Co Ltd, attracted exhibitors and buyers from a wide range of industries to attend, and continues to serve as a direct trading platform for suppliers and buyers of wire and cable-related products and equipment.
Mr Emeka Hu, General Manager of Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, said: “China’s wire and cable market is expected to experience accelerated growth in the coming years with the new industrial and energy directions that the country has taken. The industry’s promising future has drawn both internationally and locally renowned brands including TBEA, Jiangsu Changfeng, RR Kabel, Shijiazhuang Panheng Chemical, KBA-Metronic and Dongguan Wellion to exhibit at the fair. I’m very pleased with the results of the 2015 show and I believe it has contributed to increased information exchange among industry peers.”
The 2015 show was endorsed by the China Wire and Cable Business Association Alliance, as well as supported by various reputable trade associations in the country. They included the Zhuhai Power Trade Association, Zhongshan Power Trade Association and the Guangdong Wire and Cable Industry Association, all of which also organized buyer delegations for this year’s show.
Mr Liu Gan, General Manager of Guangzhou BoYou Exhibition Service Co Ltd added: “It is the second year that we collaborated with Messe Frankfurt in building the most influential trading platform for wires and cables in South China. The show’s success is evident from the patronage of prominent buyer delegations as well as a number of returning exhibitors. Our aim to foster business relationships between both suppliers and buyers has again been achieved and I look forward to an even more successful edition next year.”
Held annually, Wire & Cable Guangzhou is an important meeting place for exhibitors who look to expand their business outside the South China region. The show gathers providers of wire and cable-related machinery, equipment, materials and accessories to showcase their unique capabilities to attendees.
Loyal exhibitor, Dongguan Gemwell Electrical Machinery Co Ltd, a wire and cable machinery and equipment manufacturer, had on display a full range of products, including cable extrusion machines and wire taping machines. Mr Li Hong, Marketing Director from the company, stated: “We’ve been attending this show since the very beginning as we believe that frequent participation is crucial to building brand awareness. This year, we are showcasing a number of new products, such as equipment for high-end network cables and the USB 3.1 Cable Twister Machine. We aim to consolidate our existing client base and also discover new customers through this professional platform. Taking part in the fair also gives us the opportunity to observe the trends and the problems currently faced by the industry.”
Another returning exhibitor, Dongguan Wit Man Electric Machinery Industry Co Ltd, a Guangzhou-based wire and cable machinery provider, was satisfied with this year’s results and also expressed enthusiasm for the future of the industry. Mr Yang Yi Ru, representative from the company, explained: “We produce highly efficient, reliable and user-friendly machines for wire and cable manufacturers. For the 2015 show, we have brought in our latest single twist stranders and high-speed extrusion lines. We’re thrilled that more than 50% of the buyers that we’ve met here are keen on sourcing our products. As the country enters the Industry 4.0 era, we aspire to achieve a higher level of automation and quality. We will definitely be coming back again next year.”
Also among the list of returning exhibitors was Wuhan Shuangli Electric Wire & Cable Co Ltd. Mr Achi Wan, Export Manager from the company, said: “Our company manufactures high-voltage cables, including aluminium wires, ACSR and insulated cables for municipal and large-scale building projects. Our aim in exhibiting here was to develop new business relationships with high-quality cable enterprises from North America, South America and South-East Asia through this platform. During the first two days, we have already met buyers who expressed intention to cooperate. The fair has helped us reach our business goals and I’m happy with the results.”
With the range of innovations on display, the Guangzhou show has provided visitors with a one-stop trading platform catering to different sourcing needs. Buyers in attendance this year came from a wide range of professional industries, such as power, architecture, automobile, lighting, municipal engineering, communication and beyond.
Visiting the show for the first time, Ms Huang Xia Li, Business Development Manager from Xian Guang Da Electric Co Ltd, China, said: “Our company is in the business of lightning and over-voltage protection mechanisms and devices. We are here to look for wire and cable-related machinery and equipment, particularly the latest printing and laser marking technologies. We are quite happy with the outcome and will actually consider adopting some of the laser marking equipment we found here in our production lines. The fair has introduced us to many Guangdong suppliers and also given us a good overview of the market outside North China.”
Another satisfied visitor, Ms Derbedeneva Olga, Purchasing Manager from the Russia-based company Spyheat, stated: “We specialise in the manufacturing of heating wires for wire heating systems as well as other automation and control systems. We are here to source materials and wire manufacturing machinery, and are here hoping to venture into the South China markets and connect with the region’s suppliers. On just our first day, we were able to meet with insulation material suppliers and I believe chances for future cooperation are high. The products on display here are of high quality and it’s very likely that we will return next year.”
Representing his company, Grupo B15, a television and radio broadcasting company from Mexico, Mr Gerardo Bonilla also shared his experience at the show. He said: “This my first time here and I came primarily to source wires and cables specifically for telecommunications and transmission to cope with the expansion of our channel. There is a fair selection of domestic brands here and I’m fortunate enough to have connected with a few cable manufacturers that exactly met my needs. This has provided great cooperating opportunities for our business.”
To add to the comprehensive portfolio of the show, the organizers have also invited exhibitors and special guests to offer their experts views on various industry trends and applications at concurrent events.
Mr Zhang Cong Long, Shenzhen Ploytpe Polymer Technology Co Ltd, said: “We are very glad to be the organizer for the ‘Total Wire & Cable Solution for Electric Cars’ seminar. I am happy to see a full house today and eager exhibitors and visitors exchanging their views with our speaker. It’s even more exciting to see middle and top management among the attendees. It is a great networking opportunity for all the involved parties. We will consider organizing another seminar on an even bigger scale for the next edition given this year’s positive results.”
