Wire & Cable Guangzhou 2014: Over 80% of Space Booked

With just three months to go, the interest among the wire and cable community remains strong for the 2014 edition of the Guangzhou International Wire, Cable and Accessories Fair. Co-organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and Guangzhou BoYou Exhibition Service Co Ltd, the fair is scheduled to run from 9 – 12 June 2014 at the China Import Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. The event will cover 30,000sqm of exhibition space, and currently, over 80% of exhibition space has already been booked. 500 exhibitors are expected to showcase their most comprehensive collection of cable & wire, machinery & equipment, materials & accessories for domestic as well as international markets.

With China’s ongoing urbanisation focuses as well as progressing energy-saving and efficiency concepts, the demand for cable-and-wire related products and technology are expected to remain high in the country. As the largest wire and cable fair in Southern China and the second largest industry exhibition in the country, the fair has attracted partnership from the Taiwan Wire & Cable Association Synergy Development Center for the 2014 show. The association consists of 107 members, 43 of which have established factories in mainland China specialising in the production of bare copper wires, power wire & cables, communication cables, enameled & magnet wires, electronic wire & cords as well as aluminum conductors. This partnership will bridge the wire and cable industries between China and Taiwan as well as create business opportunities in the two regions.

Additionally, China Southern Power Grid Media, the official media for China Southern Power Grid, will also sponsor the wire and cable fair. This new sponsoring partner will organise seminars on developments in the wire and cable industry, coordinate industry players to visit the show, provide market consultation and invite high-profile leaders to attend the fair for networking. The corporation with the supporting partners will strengthen the Wire & Cable Guangzhou trading platform and encourage both local brands and international customers to expand their business in China’s growing market.
