West Virginia Firefighters Report Severe Radio Interference

Summers County firefighters have been experiencing severe interference on their radio, and it is causing issues when they are dispatched to answer fire calls.

Summers County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) has been working with the radio vendor and commercial companies to find the source of interference as quickly as possible. Once the source interference has been found, the EOC and company will work together to resolve the interference. The fire companies have a plan in place to contact firefighters via phone if the interference is too bad that radio communication is impossible.
