Wave Computation Technologies Announces the Release of Wavenology 1.7.3

Wave Computation Technologies has announced a new major release of Wavenology, a general-purpose 3D electromagnetic wave simulation software package for high-speed electronic circuits, antenna, RF/microwave and optical devices.

The new version, Wavenology 1.7.3, includes a major enhancement of far-field post processing for active non-linear antenna simulations in the Wavenology EM software. User can now view the far field both in time- and frequency- domains at high order harmonic frequencies, check radiation patterns of active antenna at different DC biased levels and view the polarization change due to switching effects of the controlling circuits. Smart antennas with non-linear circuit controlled, re-configurable working frequencies, polarizations and radiation patterns can now be designed and analyzed. Additional upgrades have also been made in the new version of Wavenology EM software.

Wavenology EL software, an advanced, general-purpose, 3D transient elastic wave simulator, has also been updated. The new version includes PML optimization for cylindrical elastic wave solvers, improvements observer accuracies of stress tensor and velocity at cylindrical coordinate system center and dipole source display now shows the direction.

A Dash of Maxwell’s: A Maxwell’s Equations Primer – Part Two

Maxwell’s Equations are eloquently simple yet excruciatingly complex. Their first statement by James Clerk Maxwell in 1864 heralded the beginning of the age of radio and, one could argue, the age of modern electronics.
