Wall Clocks Recalled for Defective Battery Springs

Z Gallerie is recalling about 450 units of Golda wall clocks because they pose a fire hazard. The problem is caused by defective battery springs located at the bottom of the clock’s battery compartment that can make the batteries overheat.

The recalled clocks were sold at Z Gallerie stores nationwide and online at ZGallerie.com between July 2015 and January 2016 for about $400. The round, 32-inch Golda clocks have a battery compartment on the back that holds one AA battery and four D batteries. Z Gallerie suggests that anyone who owns the Golda clock should remove the batteries to determine if it clock is affected by this recall. See the photos above for clarification. If your clock is affected by the recall, Z Gallerie will provide a full refund and $50 Z Gallerie gift card.
