Vanderbilt University Receives National Science Foundation Grant to Train ‘Engineering Ambassadors’

Vanderbilt University has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant to create a new outreach program to train graduate and undergraduate students to become representatives in engineering education for students in middle and high schools.

Using the grant, Vanderbilt will host the first Engineering Ambassadors Network (EAN) workshop later this spring. The workshop will train students to be hands-on ambassadors to create interest in engineering careers.  Four other universities, University of Delaware, Ohio University, Oregon State and San Jose State, were also selected to receive the same grant to hold workshops at their campuses.
