Great Innovations, LLC. has issued a recall of approximately 70,000 Air Innovations branded Ultrasonic Clean Mist humidifiers with mood lights due to a fire hazard. Water can potentially enter the humidifier base and damage the circuit board, causing it to short circuit and overheat.
The recall includes model MH-407 humidifiers sold through on QVC TV in January 2014 and online at QVC.com from December 2013 to February 2014. The humidifiers are 15 inches high and were sold in black, silver, red, and blue. The company has received 100 reports of humidifiers overheating. Consumers with recalled units should immediately stop using them, unplug the unit and contact Great Innovations for a repair kit.
