UL has announced the release of a new edition of UL 1086. UL 1086 applies to “household trash compactors.” The updated edition can be purchased on UL’s website.
Description*
“These requirements cover trash compactors that are rated 250 V or less and intended for household use to reduce the volume of waste prior to disposal; and that are intended to be employed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.”
