TÜV SÜD’s Transportation Testing Capabilities

TUV SUD press release image
At TÜV SÜD, been testing batteries for over 10 years in the Detroit area and have over 100 years of Global experience in Transportation.  We are committed to delivering the highest quality and performance in our EV battery and system solutions. We recognize the importance of safety and reliability in these systems through product development and validation, and that’s why we used the combined experience from our North America, European, and Asian battery labs to develop the most capable independent battery test lab in North America.

Since our opening in Auburn Hills in 2023, we have added to our facility the following testing services:

350 KN ELECTRO-DYNAMIC VIBRATION TABLE (K350)

TÜV SÜD has expanded our breadth of vibration testing with the addition of a 350 kN system, the largest Automotive capability in North America. Coupled with a large AGREE chamber, TÜV SÜD can now handle the vibration requirements of the entire range of EV battery pack sizes in the industry.

MULTI-AXIS SIMULATION TABLE (MAST)

MAST testing is a game-changer for the transportation industry. From noise and vibration testing to dynamics assessments on fuel tanks, structural performance, and durability testing of components, our MAST system is your key to unlocking a new standard of product development. It’s wide range of applications includes EV batteries, Chassis, Engine or Motor Mounts, Radiators, BSR (buzz, squeak, and rattle) and more.
