TÜV Rheinland Names New Business Field Manager

business newsTÜV Rheinland, a full-service inspection, testing and certification company, has appointed Michelo Santiago to the role of Business Field Manager, effective October 26. In his new role, Santiago will be responsible for the overall direction and management of the business unit including profit and loss, strategic business development and tactical plan execution, and will be based out of the Pleasanton, California office. 

Santiago comes to TÜV Rheinland with more than 20 years of experience in the compliance industry, including a prior role with TÜV Rheinland. He is well-versed in key functional departments, from regional sales to operations management. In his numerous management roles, Santiago consistently exceeded goals of achieving profitable business growth.

Santiago most recently served as Operations Manager of TÜV SUD America in Fremont, Calif., where he managed both Sales and Operations for Product testing and Quality registration. Prior to that role, he held a Regional Manager position at the same TÜV Rheinland location to which he now returns. In his time at TÜV Rheinland, he was instrumental in developing new customer-focused workflow processes and quality systems. Santiago also managed the top sales teams nationwide for five consecutive years.

A graduate of nearby UC Davis, Santiago began his career as a Regional Sales Manager at Intertek Testing Services in Menlo Park, Calif. He resides in the Napa valley of California with his wife and children.
