Nationwide Industries has recalled their 10 and 20 inch magnetic gate latches due to failure to keep hazardous areas secure. These Trident Latches are often used to secure gates to swimming pools.
The gate latches come in either black or white and are marked with the “Trident” name and image on the latch body below the keyhole. A magnet in the striker on the latch assembly can come loose, stopping the gate from being secured. The latches were sold nationwide from February to October 2013 to professional fence installers, dealers and gate manufacturers.
