54 Million Self-Driving Cars Predicted to be on the Road by 2035

A study from IHS Automotive has predicted that by the year 2035, there will be approximately 54 million self-driving cars on the road. They also project that by 2030 cars that are purely autonomous with no driver controls will be available.

Global Demand for Automotive MEMS Sensors Projected to Reach $4.7 Billion by 2020

According to a market research report by MarketsandMarkets, the total automotive sensor market is expected to reach $33.59 billion by 2022 at a CAGR of 7.8%; and the volume of sensors is expected to reach 8930.00 million units in 2022 from 2,965.37 million units in 2012, at an estimated CAGR of 11.7% from 2013 to 2022.
