A Dash of Maxwell’s: A Maxwell’s Equations Primer – Part One

Solving Maxwell’s Equations for real-life situations, like predicting the RF emissions from a cell tower, requires more mathematical horsepower than any individual mind can muster. These equations don’t give the scientist or engineer just insight, they are literally the answer to everything RF.

“The purpose of this standard is to provide requirements for the construction and testing of electrical apparatus, or parts of such apparatus, having circuits that are not capable of causing ignition in Division 1 hazardous locations as defined in Article 500.5 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70 – 1987.

This standard is not to be considered an instruction manual for untrained persons. It is intended to promote uniformity of practice among those skilled in the field of intrinsic safety.”
