Telcron today announced the launch of its online platform for lab booking and other complementary testing services for technology products. The website www.telcron.net features information about lab booking, compliance testing sourcing and management, and consulting services.
For technology manufacturers using third-party labs for pre-certification or certification test programs of their products from RFID systems to PC peripherals and tablets, the first step is usually to check for availability and pricing at competent labs and then make a lab booking, says Telcron’s Principal, Bayode Olabisi. These pre-certification and certification test programs are necessary for successful marketing of the products due to FCC or CE-mark requirements. The platform we’re introducing brings a simple, convenient way to do this at any number of competent test labs including TUV Rheinland and MET Labs. We feel that we’re filling a void by allowing laboratories to better utilize their capacity and improve efficiency, and for manufacturers to make lab bookings that fits their preferences with respect to location, pricing and availability among other considerations.
Other complementary services offered include eSource meant to help select a lab of interest from a prequalified shortlist with manufacturer RFPs submitted, a documentation platform for test project planning and document retention, and expertise on compliance management and consulting services. As an ebusiness, we welcome the opportunity to help small and large technology manufacturers alike in their compliance efforts using latest professional tools in their compliance projects from start to finish.
Telcron’s portal is ready for orders as of April 2012. This platform helps technology manufacturers in four specific ways:
1) Lab booking at multiple EMC test labs in a simplified, convenient platform at globally situated labs. This footprint will keep growing over time.
2) Use of single documentation portal for detailed project outline and document retention, and seamless coordination with one or more labs that may be involved in project handling.
3) Competitive sourcing from labs of interest for final certification projects that can be handled at multiple test labs (recommended for high dollar projects). Product certification pricing for other scenarios to be available in the near future.
4) Expert consultation at request.
