Short Circuit Can Cause Fire in Supreme Trucks

Supreme Corporation is recalling 23,238 model year 2011-2014 Signature Van, Iner-City, and Kold King vehicles because they pose a fire hazard. These commercial Box Truck bodies have Truck-Lite Model 21 roof marker lights mounted on composite corner caps. If an electrical short occurs in the light and the light overheats, the corner cap could ignite. If a fire develops, there is a risk of personal injury or property damage.

360 Electrical is recalling its surge protectors because they can short circuit when non-grounded plugs are connected, posing a shock or fire hazard. The surge protectors were made in China and sold at B&H Photo stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com and bhphotovideo.com from July 2015 through February 2016 for between $33 and $40.

X Maxx Monster Trucks Recalled for Electrical Problems

Traxxas is recalling its X-Maxx Monster Trucks and VXL-6 electronic speed controls because vehicle modification or electronic failure can result in a short circuit, posing a fire hazard. The company has received 40 reports of fire, including one injury to a finger.

Mirka is recalling 2,500 random orbital sanders because they can short circuit, posing a fire hazard. No injuries or property damage have been reported, but Mirka has received two reports of electrical shorting incidents which included the sanders sparking and smoking.
