IEEE has established the IEEE 802.19™ Wireless Coexistence Working Group, a study group on “Wireless Automotive Coexistence.”

IEEE 802.11af™ Revision Will Allow Access to Geolocation Database Previously Unavailable, Unused or Underused Frequencies

The IEEE has announced the release of the IEEE 802.11af™-2013 amendment, which allows regulators a new tool to add to their spectrum-sharing toolbox. The revision has created a global standard allowing worldwide users to utilize unused or underused RF spectrum based on location and time of day.
