Approximately 15,500 30-pint portable GE brand dehumidifiers are being recalled due to a fire hazard from a component in the compressor that could short circuit.  The products were sold exclusively at Walmart stores.  

DGL Group has recalled approximately 99,000 Vibe USB mobile power bars after receiving six reports of bursting power bars resulting in melted parts, smoking, leaking batteries and fire. The power bars were sold exclusively at Five Below stores from January 2014 to March 2014.

Ariens has recalled approximately 5,700 snow throwers and power brushes due to an amputation and laceration hazard. A drive pulley could crack while the equipment is in use and the auger or brush could continue to rotate after the clutch lever has been disengaged.

Summer Infant has expanded their February 2011 recall of handheld color video monitors because the rechargeable batteries could overheat and rupture, posing a burn hazard to consumers. The company has received 22 reports of batteries overheating and rupturing.

Two different models of electric leaf blowers are being recalled by MTD because the blower’s impeller can break while in use and strike the operator.  The recalls include 134,000 Troy-Bilt model TB180B blowers and 24,000 Remington model RM180B.

Pier 1 has recalled approximately 11,000 hanging glass star lanterns due a fire hazard. The solder welds can melt and cause the candle holder to break, exposing the flame of a candle.

Hussong Manufacturing and American Flame have recalled 22 models of gas fireplaces and fireplace inserts that use an American Flame brand main control module. The main control module can allow gas to be released and buildup posing an explosion hazard.
