A group of researchers from Southeast University in Nanjing, China have developed a new material that can bend and direct EM waves as an antenna does. This new material is being described as the first broadband transformation optics metasurface lens.
This article describes the design and performance of a wide-band hybrid antenna suitable for use in reverberation chambers. The antenna is characterized over the frequency range 100 MHz to 25 GHz showing that it performs well above 200 MHz although its ultimate highest operating frequency has not been established.

Radiated emission (RE) testing of equipment to be used on self-contained vehicles is performed at one meter or less versus testing at a distance of three meters or more for equipment designed for use in homes, offices and factories.
This article provides a basis for using gated time domain and a highly reflective mirror to measure the gain, phase, beamwidth and radiation pattern of broadband antennas. The tests were completed using the Anritsu VectorStar VNA. The speed and data points (100,000) make possible high resolution in time domain. Three commercial reference horns were measured and an aperture and mirror conductivity correction applied. The resulting data agreed reasonably well with the published data. Two additional classical methods were also performed for validation.
