System Sensor Recalls Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors

smoke-and-CO-detectorSystem Sensor is recalling 1,450 of their combination smoke/carbon monoxide (CO) detectors because they can fail to detect carbon monoxide gas, posing a risk for carbon monoxide poisoning. The recall includes the i4 series detectors, which were sold at security equipment dealers nationwide in September 2014 for $75 each. The detectors are round, white, and about 5.5 inches wide. Consumers should contact System Sensor to obtain a free replacement CO/smoke detector.
