A study to develop plans and costs for creating e-waste material recovery facilities in the BIMP-EAGA countries will be undertaken by the environment and ICT clusters of the BIMP-EAGA.
The proposed facility would help with recycling of electronic materials and include the necessary machinery and technical knowledge for repairs, metal recovery system and recycling. BIMP-EAGA is an economic cooperation in Southeast Asia comprised of Brunei, Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines and started to create economic development in lagging sub-economies in the member countries by enhancing trade, tourism and investments.
