Southwest Antennas, Inc. (SWA), a Poway, California-based designer and manufacturer of high-performance RF and microwave antennas, has joined HEICO Corporation’s Electronic Technologies Group. HEICO has acquired a majority ownership interest in SWA, with CEO Ben Culver retaining a minority stake and continuing to lead the company.
Founded in 2005, Southwest Antennas specializes in rugged, mission-critical antenna solutions for military communications, public safety, and unmanned systems applications. Its products are deployed in demanding operational environments where reliability and RF performance are essential. The company’s lineup includes antennas operating up to 8.5 GHz, mounting systems, block downconverters, low-noise amplifiers, and filter modules.
As part of HEICO’s Electronic Technologies Group, Southwest Antennas gains access to additional resources and strategic support while maintaining its existing leadership, workforce of more than 110 employees, and 25,000-square-foot headquarters in Poway.
The acquisition positions Southwest Antennas for continued investment in new RF and microwave technologies, while preserving the customer-focused approach that has driven its growth since inception.
