Solar Commuter Bike Path Opens in Netherlands

Solar Commuter Bike Path Opens in Netherlands | In Compliance Magazine

A 230 foot long section of a new solar commuter bike path is scheduled to officially open this week in the town of Krommenie, Netherlands. The path is made of pre-built concrete slabs embedded with solar cells that could produce enough electrical demands for two or three houses for an entire year.  This test project could lead to retrofitting the 87,000 miles of roadways to generate power.
