SCHURTER Passes New REACH Regulations

passedSCHURTER is pleased to report that it has passed the review by the European Chemicals Agency (EChA) of the 6 new substances added to the List of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). Released on December 17, 2014, this list is part of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals directive (REACH). REACH is a regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemicals.

SCHURTER is known for its commitment to environmental protection—as early as 1996, it was among the first companies to receive the certification for an environmental management system according to ISO 14001. SCHURTER’s latest REACH certificate and Product Content Sheets (PCS), which give detailed information about used substances and their concentration, are available at www.schurter.com.
