Schurter has announced the expansion of its popular MSM series metal pushbutton switch to include a version with white ring and point illumination. Existing color options include red, green, yellow and blue. The series also expands its range of integrated resistor options to include 5 and 12 volt versions in addition to the existing 24 volt.

The MSM construction includes a stainless steel housing and actuator, with a micro switch snapped into the housing. Housings are available in 19, 22 and 30 mm mounting diameters. Switching voltage ratings range from 5 VDC to 250 VAC and current ratings from 0.1 to 10A. The switching function is N.O., N.C. and changeovers in 1- or 2-pin construction.

The MSM series is ideal for use in applications exposed to the elements. It has a seal protection rating of IP67 and impact resistance rating of IK07. Operating temperature range is -25°C to +85°C. Applications include various types of control panels, industrial controllers for manufacturing equipment, self-service kiosks, vending equipment, public and institutional security access systems, audio and entertainment systems, and medical diagnostic and hospital equipment.
