Safe Step Walk-In Tubs Recalled for Burn Hazard

recalled tubOliver Fiberglass issues a recall for Safe Step walk-in tubs due to potential for the tub’s heated seat to get stuck in the “on” position, posing a burn hazard to customers. There have been 11 reports of the empty tub’s heated seat getting stuck on, including one report of the seat overheating and becoming hot to the touch. No injuries have been reported.

The Safe Step walk-in, hydro-massage tub was sold in home and bath stores across the U.S. from January 2014 through September 2014 for between $12,000 and $15,000. To see a list of model numbers and confirm whether your tub has been recalled, view the complete recall notice.
