Saelig’s New 3GHz High Stability Spectrum Analyzer Available at an Introductory Price

Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the GSP-930 – a 3GHz Spectrum Analyzer designed on a new generation platform to offer high stability, a large screen display, light weight and compact size. Its advanced Spectrogram and Topography features greatly expand the application range of this versatile RF analysis instrument.

The 9kHz to 3GHz GSP-930 provides high frequency stability (25ppb or 0.025ppm), and a very low noise floor of -142dBm (pre-amplifier on) for high-sensitivity measurements. Flexible selection of fifty-eight Resolution Bandwidth (RBW) ranges, together with Spectrogram and Topographic display features, enable the GSP-930 to capture and display transient, drifting, and hopping signals in great detail. (A smaller frequency RBW setting will produce a lower noise floor but will increase the sweep time.) Other notable features include Spectrum Emission Mask (SEM), Power Measurements, AM/FM demodulation and analysis, TOI/CNR/CSO/CTB measurements, gated sweep function, 1Hz resolution marker/counter, etc. The combination of frequency domain information and time domain information display facilitates the tracing of RF signal variations over time.

The user-friendly design of the GSP-930 makes using this high-tech instrument stress-free, while the large 8.4″ TFT color LCD display makes waveforms clearly visible. Built-in On Screen Help provides useful definition descriptions on the screen to guide users through measurement processes without the need to check other documents. Display icons clearly indicate current settings and operation status at a glance. A wake-up clock feature can automatically power-up the GSP-930 at a pre-set time, useful for stability warm-up options for ultimate measurement accuracy. The Pass/Fail Limit function allows a user to perform repetitive Go/No-Go measurements using template inspection instead of time-consuming subjective value reading. The Sequence function provides an easy programming feature for users to edit and run measurement routines on the GSP-930’s screen without the need for an attached PC.

The GSP-930 is equipped with a selection of interfaces, including LXI, USB, RS-232, and an optional GPIB LabVIEW IVI or LabWindows/CVI drivers are available for remote control software development. A Micro SD slot and a USB Host interface enable memory size expansion for extra data storage. An 886MHz intermediate frequency signal for an RF input is provided for development applications.
