Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Siglent SMM3000X Series Source/Measure Units (SMUs), a four‑quadrant test platform designed for precise characterization of semiconductors, optoelectronic devices, wide‑bandgap materials, and next‑generation energy systems.
The SMM3000X functions as a voltage source, current source, voltmeter, ammeter, and ohmmeter, while also supporting pulse generation and arbitrary waveform output—making it ideal for testing nonlinear components and advanced materials.
With 6½‑digit resolution, up to ±210 V DC, ±3.03 A DC, and ±10.5 A pulsed current, the series delivers ultra‑fine programming and measurement resolution down to 10 fA / 100 nV, plus a 100,000‑points/s acquisition rate for high‑speed data capture. A 5-inch capacitive touchscreen and USB/LAN interfaces streamline operation and automation.
In pulse mode, the SMM3000X provides 10.5 A peak current with 50 μs minimum pulse width, enabling accurate emulation of transient behavior in power devices such as GaN and SiC switches. Engineers can perform linear, log, and pulsed sweeps to quickly extract I‑V curves and analyze device behavior under real operating conditions.
Designed for third‑generation semiconductors, optoelectronics, new‑energy battery research, and high‑density IC development, the SMM3000X series improves test efficiency, accuracy, and R&D throughput.
The Siglent SMM3000X Series SMUs are available now from Saelig Company, Inc. For specifications and technical support, contact 1‑888‑7SAELIG or visit Saelig.com.
