Saelig Introduces Rigol DG6000 AWG Series

Fairport, NY — Saelig Company, Inc. has announced the availability of the Rigol DG6000 Series 16‑bit Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generators, offering up to 1GHz bandwidth, 2.5GSa/s sample rate, and high‑voltage differential outputs without the need for external amplifiers or baluns.

The DG6000 Series integrates multiple signal generation capabilities—including function, arbitrary waveform, pulse, noise, harmonics, and modulation—into a single instrument. Four models are available, supporting two or four fully isolated channels at bandwidths up to 1GHz.

In high‑bandwidth mode, the DG6000 can generate ultra‑fast square waves with 350ps rise times, making it suitable for testing high‑speed digital interfaces and evaluating transient system behavior. The instrument’s 16‑bit vertical resolution and low‑noise design improve dynamic range and signal fidelity compared to traditional 14‑bit generators.

Mastering High Voltage: The Importance of Accurate Test Equipment

This whitepaper underscores that precise calibration of high-voltage test gear — especially when measuring 1 kV–150 kV systems — is essential for safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. It details measurement techniques (voltage dividers, step-down transformers, etc.), the impact of environmental and connection factors on accuracy, and why traceable calibration (e.g. to NIST / A2LA) is a must to ensure consistent, reliable results.

A 10.1‑inch touchscreen, web‑based remote control, and support for outputs up to ±10V differential (20Vpp) complete the platform. The DG6000 Series is available now from Saelig Company, Rigol’s U.S. technical distributor.
