Saelig Introduces Harogic SA Series 20/40 GHz Real-time Spectrum Analyzers

press release image

Saelig Company, Inc. has introduced the Harogic SA Series Real-time Spectrum Analyzers, with operating ranges of 9 kHz – 20 GHz (SAE-200) and 9 kHz – 40 GHz (SAN-400).

The SA series receiver/spectrum analyzer modules are based on superheterodyne digital IF architecture, equipped with USB3.0 interface and high-speed FPGA digital signal processing, providing good performance in a compact size. They are optimized for applications such as receivers, spectrum monitoring, and RF testing, offering multiple outputs, including spectrum, digital IQ stream, power detection waveform (zero sweep bandwidth), and real-time spectrum. The volume, weight, and power consumption of these devices are ideal for field or embedded applications.

The SAN-400 uses a direct sampling channel below 88 MHz, and a superheterodyne mixing channel from 88 MHz to 40 GHz. Typical image suppression and IF rejection>75dBc; SAN-400 provides additional image suppression by turning on the spurious suppression algorithm in standard spectrum sweep mode (not valid in other analysis modes).

The SAN-400 provides a particularly flexible solution for receivers, spectrum monitoring and convenient RF testing. The device weighs only 6.5 oz – less than a mobile phone – realizing the complete functionality of a superheterodyne receiver and spectrum analyzer system in a very compact size. The module has a highly integrated superheterodyne receiver RF front-end built-in with performance, as well as a back-end FPGA-based digital processing system to accelerate relevant digital signal processing. FPGA-based digital signal processing effectively reduces the performance requirements of the device on the back-end processor. Even on low-power x86 or ARM processor platforms with limited performance, the SAN-400 can still be deployed to achieve excellent measurement results, working on Linux or Windows operating systems. Weight ~ 6.5oz.  Size: 4.9” x 2.4” x 0.7”, power consumption: 10-14 W

The SAE-200 is a Compact USB Real-time Spectrum Analyzer that operates from 9 kHz to 20 GHz. It is based on the superheterodyne architecture and has an analysis bandwidth of 100 MHz with a sweep speed of 1.2 THz/s. This spectrum analyzer provides over 60 dB of image suppression, over 90 dB of IF rejection, and SSB phase noise of -131 dBc/Hz (at 10 MHz offset). It is powered by a USB C port and is compatible with ARM and x86 processors, Linux, and Windows operating systems. The analyzer measures 5.5” x 2.7” x 0.8”.
