Recall Issued for 780,000 Chrysler Minivans

More than 780,000 Chrysler minivans are being recalled due to the company receiving reports of power window vent switches overheating and resulting in several fires.  The models included in the recall are 2010 to 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country minivans.

The problem was discovered through warranty claims and it was determined that moisture from rain, snow, car washes or beverage spills were causing the circuit to short. Chrysler will be contacting owners of recalled minivans to inform them when they can schedule a repair. Until the repair can be completed, owners can visit Chrysler dealers to have their vent switches disconnected.
