Power Entry Modules for V-Lock Cord Retaining

SCHURTER-v-lock

SCHURTER announces its compact KFA and DA22 series power entry modules, with mating V-Lock cord sets. The KFA and DA22 series’ new V-Lock compatible feature prevents unintended disconnection of the power from the equipment. No additional costly hardware is necessary to install the cord retaining system. The cord set safely latches into a notch in the plastic housing of the power entry modules. Removing the cord set is easily achieved by depressing the latch. V-Lock power cords are offered in a wide range of cord lengths and country-specific plugs, including NEMA 5-15 standard hospital grade versions.

The KFA and DA22 module families feature a C14 inlet, with 1- or 2-pole fuseholder for 5 x 20 mm fuses, and standard or low leakage, M5, mains filter. The KFA is available with 4.8 x 0.8 mm quick-connect or wire leaded terminals, and the DA22 is for PCB mounting. Both units offer screw-on the front panel mounting. The KFA also offers a snap-in version. The current rating range is 1 to 10 A at 250 VAC. Optional voltage selector allows for use in international markets. The new power entry modules are ideal for use in medical devices, IT and audio equipment where the power to the equipment must withstand mechanical stress on the cord. Both modules meet IEC 60950 and IEC 60601-1 and are approved by UL, CSA, VDE and CCC.
