Visonic has recalled their Amber SelectX Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) kit due an operational failure to detect an emergency signal from the personal pendant.
The kit includes one wireless pendant, a base station and is usually connected to a phone line, power supply and backup battery. The recall is being issued because after a reboot or system reset, the base stations can fail to operate and not detect the signal from the personal pendant. The recalled units were manufactured between April and December 2012 and affect approximately 1,700 units.
