Hyundai Motor Co. has issued a recall for more than 140,000 Tucson crossover utility vehicles after discovering the air bag assembly may come loose from the mounting on the steering wheel. 2011 to 2014 model years are included in the recall.
The company found that the two bolts that hold the driver’s air bag module to the steering wheel may not be tightened properly. It is possible that the module could come completely separated from the steering wheel. No accident reports or injuries have resulted from this issue.
