Oregon Tech Receives ABET Accreditation from Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC)

The electrical engineering program at Oregon Institute of Technology has received accreditation by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc., (ABET). The accreditation is a peer-review process that requires programs to undergo comprehensive, periodic evaluations.

The ABET accreditation provides an opportunity for academic institutions to demonstrate they are committed to maintain their programs’ quality and their programs are performing at the level required by the professions they serve. The program sets specific, measurable goals for students and graduates, assesses their success in meeting those goals and improves their programs based on the assessment results.
