NTS Acquires Microtek Laboratories

National Technical Systems, Inc. (“NTS”), the leading independent provider of environmental simulation testing, inspection, and certification solutions in the United States, announced today that it has acquired Microtek Laboratories of Anaheim, California. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Microtek Laboratories, established in 1986, is an internationally accredited, full-service testing laboratory servicing the materials, mechanical, and printed circuit board industry and operating from facilities in Anaheim, California and Linthicum Heights, Maryland. The acquisition of Microtek approximately doubles NTS’ capacity to service mechanical and electronics testing needs and solidifies NTS as the domestic leader in electronic materials conformance, qualification, and reliability testing.

Microtek’s Anaheim, CA facility, which will become NTS Anaheim, adds expanded materials testing capabilities, complementing NTS’ extensive environmental simulation offering in Southern California. Additionally, Microtek’s Anaheim lab offers industry-leading expertise in failure analysis and materials testing and is a global leader in printed circuit board and printed circuit assembly failure analysis and testing.
