I-Pex Connectors has released a new connector that provides full 360 degree EMI shielding. The new Novastack brand 35-HDP Board-To-FPC Connector offers high-data-rate capability and supports new transmission standards. It can be used for applications with speeds up to 20 Gbps, including USB-3.1, eDP HBR3, PCle Gen 3 and 4, and Thunderbolt3.
The connector delivers high power with four sets of 2.2A power pins, but it is small enough (0.35 mm pitch, 0.7 mm mated height) to be used in slim electronic devices. This connector provides full shielding to avoid any potential interference with signals that run through it.
