Northstar Lanterns Recalled by Coleman Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

The Coleman Company has issued a recall of their Northstar® liquid fuel lanterns due to a gas feed tube being incorrectly installed, releasing too much fuel. Two incidents have been reported when lanterns caught fire when fuel leaked from the bottom of the lantern.

The recalled lanterns are green in color and are 13 inches tall by 7 inches wide and 7 inches deep.  The recalled units have the model number 2000B750 printed on the lantern base and a date code of either 10 13 or 11 13 stamped on the bottom of the base.  Consumers with recalled lanterns should no longer use them and contact the company for a replacement.

Check to see if your Coleman lantern is included in the recall and how to contact the manufacturer for a replacement.
