Continuing its efforts to help organizations integrate the provisions of its Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 into their operations, the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has released another Quick-Start Guide, this one focusing on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in analysis and reporting.
Published in mid-August, NIST SP 1353, “NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0: Quick-Start Guide for Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for CSF Analysis and Reporting,” illustrates “practical and actionable” paths for organizations to apply AI technology in the planning and implementation of their cybersecurity programs, and for assessing their progress in achieving the outcomes set forth in CSF 2.0.
Earlier this year, NIST released two additional Quick-Start Guides. The first, SP 1308, “NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0: Enterprise Risk Management and Workforce Management Quick Start Guide,” applies widely adopted concepts and practices of risk management to help organizations foster more effective communications about cybersecurity risks and implement informed solutions.
The second Guide, SP 1347, “CSF 2.0: Informative Reference Quick Start Guide,” provides organizations with helpful reference information about CSF 2.0, as well as information about NIST tools to access that information.
