New Manufacturing Method Increases Production Process and Efficiency of Electrical Motors

University of Adelaide researchers developed a new manufacturing method for electrical pump motors that increases efficiency in both the production process and the end product.

The researchers used newly developed soft magnetic composite (SMC) and amorphous magnetic material (AMM) to produce a stator with increased efficiency levels compared to conventional stators. The new manufacturing process includes innovative production techniques that have reduced the size of stators and also added to the improved efficiency. These compact, high-efficiency motors could lead to improvements in modern power generation.
