New DC Car Charger from Astrodyne Provides Superior Isolated Power

Astrodyne Corporation, a global developer and manufacturer of specialized power solutions, now offers a medical grade DC input power adapter that provides superior isolated power to medical devices used in cars and trauma patient transportation vehicles. Supporting better patient mobility, this 75 W medical grade power adapter can be used with a car or truck 12 CAP DC power connector.

Designed to help power left ventricular assist devices (LVAD), infusion pumps as well as respirators, defibrillators and any other mobile medical devices, this new medical car adapter features ultra-low leakage at <10 microamps, offering the patient superior protection against shock and hazard.

Astrodyne’s medical car adapter features 3000 VAC rated dielectric isolation and CF level leakage current isolation for maximum patient safety. Its ingress protection has been evaluated to IP22 per IEC60529. Overall safety compliance has been evaluated to ES60601-3 3rd edition and IEC 60601-1-11.
